Norman Robinson
Vision and sFUNergy
When I was in high school, I used to drive my family, friends and, in fact anyone that would listen, crazy talking 24x7 about wrestling. One day, my best friend and wrestling coach was listening to me go on and on about wrestling. He interrupted me and said, "You know Norm, you really love wrestling." I was speechless, which would be very surprising to you if you knew me. "Finally," I thought, "someone really understands me!"
You see, I wasn't a great wrestler but I loved wrestling. I ate, slept and dreamt wrestling. I got beat by everyone but I kept going, determined to learn something to make me better with each competition. In my senior year, I won the state wrestling championship and went on to compete as a member of the US Navy National Wrestling Team.
I learned some very powerful lessons wrestling. I learned that everything advanced comes from a solid foundation of the basics. I learned that I needed to seek out the best if I was going to succeed. And once I found the best to learn from (or in my case - be beat up by) I needed to be meek or coachable. I needed to be willing to learn and apply what I had been taught even if it was difficult or uncomfortable. I also learned that losing a match wasn't being a loser; giving up is what makes a loser.
But the most important lesson I learned, without realizing it, was to have fun in whatever I was doing and with whomever I was working with. It is this lesson that I have used successfully qualifying first in my class when I went through the Navy's nuclear power training, when I built and managed technology teams and departments at Fortune 500 and 100 companies, and when I got involved in real estate investing. This way of thinking I call sFUNergy, which I ended up defining at Bank of America, as "synergy to the power of fun!"
Through it all, I had, and still have, a natural curiosity for how stuff (one of the technical terms I learned in technology) works together. I also wanted to know "why" things did or didn't work together. Because of this curiosity, I have invented new ways of doing things, streamlined processes and procedures, and gotten rid of the stuff (there's that term again) that is unnecessary and/or gets in the way of being productive. Once I learn how stuff really works, I love to seeing how it can be improved and then teaching it to others, which is why Life is a Bank was created.
I have a diverse background. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with a minor is organizational communication. I have over 22 years experience as an IT specialist and manager in the legal, news and financial services industry. I was a real estate broker with Keller Williams and have been a real estate investor for over 25 years. I now enjoy continuous learning and helping others apply practical, common sense strategies that grow and preserve wealth.
As a former Vice President in Global Corporate & Investment Banking East, Bank of America, I know how banks and financial institutions make their money. How banking and most other financial institutions make their money has nothing to do with their helping you reach your financial goals. My purpose is to show you how to use those same financial principals and strategies in your favor.
After investing countless hours and thousands of dollars learning about the many ways of safe, effective financial principles and strategies, I believe the Life is a BANK strategies are the foundation to building, or rebuilding, wealth as well as eliminating debt for individuals and businesses. There are so many features and benefits that you'll constantly be learning how to take more and more advantage of these strategies.
My goal is to learn, prove and then teach financial principles and strategies that build safe, solid and lasting wealth. The Life is a BANK strategies work for every individual or business that is willing to learn and apply these concepts. These are not a strategies used just by the rich (though they are using it); they are for everyone and become even more efficient and effective the more they are used.
We have business owners, professional athletes, medical professionals, lawyers and investors using these concepts to replace risky financial programs. Anyone can learn to do the same.
Life is a BANK is built on the principle of integrity, excellence and, of course, sFUNergy!
